A big reunion and day of hockey is being held at a Harborough area club to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

Welford Mixed Hockey Club is hoping many of its former players will attend the event and join current members for a fun day of hockey action.

It is being held at its base, Welford Sportsfield on the corner of Newlands Road, next Saturday, May 17, between 2pm and 6pm

As well as the hockey, there will also be a hog roast, food and other refreshments served and a bungee slide for youngsters.

Guests are more than welcome – of all ages and abilities – and potential new members can pop along and find out more about the club.

The event will be followed by the club’s end-of-season awards and trophy presentations from 6pm.

For more details about the club, phone the chairman Anthony Raisbury on 01858 575678.
