A driver killed when his car left the road and crashed into a hedgerow near Arnesby has been named by police.
Zoltan Bubenik (44) - formerly of Slovakia but who was living in Bruntingthorpe - was driving a white Rover 414 which crashed on the A5199 Welford Road shortly after 6pm on Monday, October 14.
He received serious injuries and was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary where he later died.
Det Cons Nick Bryan is investigating the collision.
He said: “The vehicle was travelling along the A5199 towards Leicester and had just gone past the village of Arnesby when it left the road and came to rest in a hedgerow.
“We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle beforehand. Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could help with our investigations.”
