A Market Harborough woman has thanked all the supporters who backed her during the final of Britain’s Got Talent.
Dancer Zoe Pollard is part of the 26-strong Addict Initiative team that performed in the live final on Saturday.
The group finished tenth out of 11 participants in the final, but Zoe said she was delighted just to have performed in the final.
She said: “We are a really honoured to get into the top ten , from I think was 70,000 that auditioned, so we can’t complain about that.
“I wouldn’t say that we were upset. Watching the show back, it was such an open competition. Once one person performed the judges said they thought they were the winners, then the next people performed and they said they could be the winners.
“It was a great experience and the amazing Collabro won, so fair play to them.”
She added: “I would like to thank everybody in Market Harborough and Leicester who got behind us and voted for us in the final.”
Addict Initiative opened the final with a high energy routine that was inspired by Hansel and Gretel but with a dark twist.
The group’s performance earned strong praise from all four judges - Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams.
The 23-year-old said she has had an amazing experience participating in the show, but it was a ‘bit of a relief’ that it had ended after an intense couple of weeks.
However, she added: “You haven’t seen the last of Addict Initiative yet!”
The group now plan to carry on working together and secure bookings for the future.
