Masked men armed with crowbars and sledgehammers broke into a Harborough shop to steal mobile phones and tablet computers.
The raid happened at the O2 Shop in St Mary’s Place.
Police said three men wearing balaclavas used the tools to smash the front window before taking the goods from a stock room.
They made off through St Mary’s Place towards Sainsbury’s car park where it is believed they had a vehicle
The incident happened at around 12.50am on Thursday, August 1. The witness appeal was issued by police today.
Det Cons Peter Lockey, the investigating officer, said: “This was a high value burglary and I am appealing to both local residents and the wider public for information regarding this crime.
“I would urge anyone who has any information regarding suspicious activity in the area or has been offered any thing that may have come from this burglary, please contact police. It could help with our enquiries.”
