Lutterworth College principal Andrew Cooper expresses his delight at his school’s best-ever A-Level results in this video.
And the delight of some of the students picking up their results is captured in this gallery of photos.
A total of 72 per cent of all results were C grades and above - an increase of 6 per cent from last year. 46 per cent of all results were B grades and above - an increase of 3 per cent.
One of the students jumping for joy was Louise Ash, who got one A* and two As. She had planned to go to Exeter University to study Law but was reconsidering her options after her results were better than she expected.
Other star students include Michael Jennings, who achieved top grades in maths, biology, chemistry and economics and is going to study medicine at Oxford University.
Also Oxford-bound is Megan Woolley, who got top marks in history, English literature and politics and is going to study history at degree level.
Jack Sharman, meanwhile, gained an apprenticeship as a golf pro in America.
