Young brass band group gains recognition on national radio

A band has won an award from the BBC for being the best young brass band in the country.

Youth Brass 2000 were awarded the BBC Radio 2 Youth Band of the Year 2013.

As a result of the award, the Wilbarston based band performed in Manchester and did a broadcast on Radio 2.

The group has also retained its Butlin’s Miners Welfare title and won another national title in Blackpool this month.
