Wear a tea cosy on your noggin and help charity

BUSINESSES are taking part in National Wear a Tea Cosy Day this week with funds raised going towards a project to build a safe cycle route in the area.

The White Stuff of High Street, Harborough, will be serving tea and cakes for National Wear a Tea Cosy Day today (Thursday) while Aldwinckles Coffee Shop of Church Street, Harborough, has this week been donating a percentage of money for every tea it sells. Funds raised are going to Adam’Smile, a campaign set up by the family of Lubenham 13-year-old Adam Mugridge who died in a road accident while cycling to school in 2006. Its aim is to build a safe cycle and pedestrian route from Lubenham to Harborough.

Coffee and cakes for White Stuff are being donated by Aldwinckles.

National Wear a Tea Cosy Day is the brainchild of The White Stuff Foundation which raises cash and awareness for 85 charities.
