Walker airlifted to hospital after tripping in a rabbit hole

A WOMAN who tripped in a rabbit-hole while out walking near Harborough yesterday (Thursday) was airlifted to hospital.

The 37-year-old was out walking through fields near the town when she fell and injured her left foot.

Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA) was called to the incident at about 3.30pm in case there was a problem with accessing the location.

The helicopter landed in the field and the crew set about treating the patient, administering painkilling drugs and splinting the injured foot.

The casualty was flown to Leicester Royal Infirmary.
