Total figure for Toys on the Table released

MORE than 4,000 children will receive toys this year thanks to the Toys on the Table charity.

The charity appealed to people in the Leicestershire area and now more than 4,000 disadvantaged children will be opening 8,000 toys on Christmas day.

People in the Harborough district have helped with this impressive total and one company that has aided the efforts of the charity is Harboro Rubber.

Chairman of the company James Briggs said: “The employees at The Harboro Rubber Co. are always happy to help with a just and worthy cause.

“We are pleased to have been able to make Christmas more exciting for the youngsters, especially with so much hardship around.”

Staff at Harboro Rubber have been helping the charity for some time and this year they doubled the amount of money used to buy the toys thanks to the company.
