Sign theft is the final straw for farm shop owners

editorial image

FIND a giant strawberry sign stolen from a Harborough farm shop and claim a reward - as much of the real fruit as you can eat.

Farndon Fields Farm Shop has offered the tempting reward after thieves stole the wooden sign the weekend before last.

The wooden sign was one of a number painted by shop owner Milly Stokes to promote the delicious summer fruit on sale at the store.

Milly’s daughter Nicola said: “It was screwed to a post but it’s been unscrewed. I don’t understand why someone would want a giant strawberry.

“Mum spent hours painting these signs so we really want it back, that’s why we’re offering whoever finds it as many strawberries as they can eat.”

If you find the strawberry sign, contact the shop on 01858 464838.
