Scarecrow fest is just around corner

INGENIOUS designs are being developed in Lubenham for the annual Scarecrow Festival.

The 12th annual scarecrow weekend is a hugely popular event which attracts thousands of visitors to the area.

Residents are counting down the days and developing their fun scarecrow designs which will be dotted throughout Lubenham.

It is taking place on Saturday, September 8, and Sunday, September 9, from 11am-6pm.

As well as the dozens of scarecrows on display there will be tractor-drawn trailer rides,a heritage trail, fairground rides, quad bikes, bouncy castle, games, pony rides, husky dog display, pets’ corner, tractor and classic car displays and more.

Stalls will include a raffle, tombola and garden produce.

There will also be a full programme of live music and entertainment and all types of refreshments available.

Profits are used to support groups and organisations in Lubenham and other Harborough district areas. It is the first year for some time when it will not be clashing with Arts Fresco.
