Record pass rate for A-Level students at Robert Smyth Academy

ROBERT Smyth Academy is celebrating record A-Level results this year with an increase of pass grades in every category.

The number of students who achieved A* to C went up by nine per cent to 74 per cent and 44 per cent of these achieved A* to B grades.

The average point score rose significantly, with the percentage of A* and A grades topping 19 per cent.

Headteacher Colin Dean said: ““This is, by far, the best set of results we have ever had at A Level and reflects a huge amount of hard work by both students and staff.

“We are delighted with these results and congratulate all our students on what they have achieved.”

Individuals achieving the best individual results were Emily Taylor and Sven Harris who attained the most points overall.

The overall pass rate of 98 per cent was Robert Smyth’s highest ever result, this was one per cent higher than last years pass rate of 97 per cent.
