Lutterworth College continues to bat above the national average when it comes to school league table performances.
According to the latest figures 61 per cent of pupils achieved five or more A* to C grades, including maths and English, in last summer’s exams.
The average among state-funded schools in England is 58.8 per cent.
The college recorded 59 per cent in 2009, 65 per cent in 2010 and 63 per cent in 2011.
Principal Andrew Cooper said he was pleased with the performance but said the best way to gauge how the school was doing was to see it in person.
“We are pleased but not complacent about our performance in the league tables in the sense that we compare favourably with other local schools,” he said.
“However, the best way to make a judgement about a school is not to look at the league tables but to come and see it in action.”
