Politician’s support call for ‘vital’ town hospital
A POLITICIAN is urging people to take part in a survey about health services to express how important the Feilding Palmer Hospital is to the people of Lutterworth.
MP Andrew Robathan says it is vital that people in the area complete the survey – which is part of a review of community hospital services in the county which has been launched by the East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group.
Mr Robathan said: “Throughout my time living and working in Leicestershire I have always been aware of the critical importance of the Feilding Palmer Hospital.
“It provides an essential service to the people of the town and surrounding areas by enabling people to be treated near their homes and is an integral part of delivering healthcare within our local community which is so important.
“It is important that people respond to this survey so that the CCG is aware of the central and vital role the hospital plays in the life of Lutterworth and the surrounding areas.”
You can complete the survey online at the Surveymonkey.com website or ask for a hard copy by calling Penny Harris on 0116 2957571.
The deadline is May 13, 2012.
