Person hospitalised after crash

A PERSON had to be taken to hospital after a crash in the Harborough district over the weekend.

Firefighters from Harborough station were called to the A5199, just north of Husbands Bosworth on the road towards Shearsby, at about 6.45am on Saturday.

One car was involved in the crash and one person was freed by the fire service. They were taken by ambulance to Leicester Royal Infirmary, according to the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue daily report log. A total of four appliances attended from the fire service.

The police were also in attendance.
