FIREFIGHTERS freed a person from a vehicle after a crash in the Harborough district.

Fire crews from Lutterworth attended Lutterworth Road in North Kilworth yesterday (Thursday) at 2.08pm after a three-vehicle crash.

A person was trapped inside one vehicle and had to be extricated by the fire service, according to the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue daily report log.

Meanwhile, firefighters from Harborough were called to near St Dionysius Church in High Street, Harborough, at about 5pm yesterday after a report of a small bin fire.

Two pumps attended but the fire was out on arrival. The cause was accidental, according to the daily log.
