A PARALYMPIC athlete who won a bronze medal at the London Games visited Lutterworth High School to talk to students about her experiences.

Katrina Hart, who has cerebral palsy, won a bronze medal in the T37 100 metre relay.

Although she lives in Bath, the visit was arranged by her cousin Sarah Tomlinson, a member of staff at the school.

Head teacher Nora Parker said: “It was such an inspiration for us all to hear Katrina’s dedication and commitment to her sport.

“Katrina talked about training, her performance and experience of the games. She finished with a quiz which outlined lots of interesting facts about food and the Olympic Village. There was a real buzz of approval from students when she explained there were free McDonald’s meals on offer at all times for all athletes!”
