Man taken to hospital by air ambulance

A man had to be airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after his car hit a tree.

The accident happened today near to Husbands Bosworth. Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance were called to the scene at 7.50am.

The man who is believed to be in his early twenties has head and leg injuries.

Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance’s doctor anaesthetised the man at the scene in order to make him stable for his journey to the major trauma centre at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.

A pelvic binder was also applied and the man was immobilised before he was taken to the hospital in the air ambulance.
