Harborough district has second highest growth

CENSUS information released last week shows Harborough district having the second highest population growth in the county.

The 2011 early census data shows the district’s population has risen by 8,841, a rise of 11.5 per cent. It is the second biggest total increase in Leicestershire (behind Charnwood) and the highest in percentage terms.

The total population figure for the district is now 85,400.
