Concert halted as heating fails

A SCHOOL Christmas concert had to be postponed after the heating system failed.

Robert Smyth Academy’s annual Christmas concert, which was due to take place last Thursday, had to be postponed due to a heating failure in the main hall.

The new date for the concert is next Thursday, December 20, at 7pm.

People unable to attend on the new date are being asked to return their tickets for a full refund and so that any unwanted tickets can be resold to ensure a full audience for the students.

The concert will feature about 100 students performing with the school’s various ensembles such as jazz, soul, string, choir orchestra, flute, sax and percussion.

Tickets cost £4, or £3 for under-19s. Call the school office in Burnmill Road for more details on 01858 4407700.
