College’s designs on former pub

A COLLEGE planning to convert a former pub into boarding accommodation for its students has submitted plans for a small conservatory extension.

Brooke House College secured planning permission to convert the Union Inn Hotel, in Leicester Road, last year.

Now it has submitted further plans to Harborough District Council to build a small conservatory at the rear of the building, to form a corrider to allow the doors to three bedrooms to link internally with the rest of the building.

The college has also converted the former Trades and Labour Club and the Copperfield Hotel into student accommodation.
