FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a property in Harborough after a bin was set alight nearby.

A trio of fire appliances attended The Furlongs, off Rockingham Road, at 7.52am yesterday morning (Thursday).

A waste bin was alight near to a property and firefighters used a hose reel and two breathing apparatus to put out the flames.

The cause of the blaze was deliberate ignition, according to the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service daily report log.

It says the bin was ‘fifty per cent damaged’ while there was ‘two per cent damage’ to the property.
