AFTER raising hundreds of pounds by growing a range of unusual facial hair staff at Sainsbury’s were just itching to shave them off.

The staff have been growing the moustaches in order to raise funds for prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.

The aim of Movember is not only to raise these funds but also to raise awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

On Saturday 14 members of staff at Sainsbury’s store in St Mary’s Place, Harborough did a mass shave to get rid of the moustaches they have been growing throughout the month of November.

Mel Wisher, of Sainsbury’s said: “They were desperate to get rid of them.”

Mark Robinson, chief executive of Market Harborough Building Society was also sporting an impressive moustache for Movember.
