London marathon runner Aileen Collins in Welland Park, Market Harborough.

A runner is taking on her sixth marathon this year in order to raise money for Macmillan .

Aileen Collins (36) of Fleckney Road, Kibworth, is tackling the London Marathon and sees it as a form of therapy as she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in August last year.

The nurse, who works in Leicester, is hoping that people will help her reach her £2,000 goal by sponsoring her.
