Market Harborough’s High Street has lost out in its battle to be named as one of the best in the UK.

The town made it thorugh to the final three in the Large Town category, alongside local Leicestershire rivals Hinckley and Bridgnorth in Shropshire.

And the town united together behind the campaign, including support from the Harborough Mail.

But the winner has just been announced this afternoon - and the award went to Bridgnorth.

More on this as we get it.
