Save Harborough's M&S: petition launched

A CAMPAIGN to save Harborough's Marks & Spencer store has been launched by the Mail.

The town's Simply Food store is one of 27 the retail giant intends to close across the country after unveiling its worst sales figures for almost a decade.

However the Mail believes the store plays a crucial part in the Harborough street scene, with its mix of national chain stores and vibrant little independent businesses.

We have launched a petition urging bosses at M&S not to close the store.

The petition can be signed at the Harborough Mail offices, in 9 Northampton Road, Harborough.

It can also be downloaded by clicking here.

Why not print one off and hand it out among family, friends or colleagues?

Then send them back to us and we'll post them to M&S bosses.

*For more on the campaign see Thursday's Harborough Mail.
