Woman racially abused during road rage incident

A road rage driver rammed a woman’s car before racially abusing and pushing her during an attack in Brixworth.

The 30-year-old victim was driving a silver Vauxhall Astra in Spratton Road at about 1pm and had just left Co-op car park when a silver or light blue Fiat Punto sped up and drove into the back of her three times.

Police said the victim stopped her car, at which point the Punto driver got out and walked towards her shouting racist abuse before pushing her into the door frame of her car.

The man then go back into his car and drove along Harborough Road.

Police said it is believed the man had been shopping in the Co-op before the incident took place.

He is described as white, aged in his 40s, of stout build, about 5ft 7ins tall and was wearing jeans and boots.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on the 101 hotline.
