Theft from Harborough jewellers

A THEFT from a Harborough jewellers saw a watch worth £2,500 stolen.

The man who stole the silver watch from Steffans Jewellers in High Street, Harborough asked to try the watch on and then ran off with it.

He is described as white, in his early twenties and was wearing a quilted coat.

A second man was waiting outside who was of mixed race. The pair ran off together in the direction of Northampton Road.

The theft took place at 2.45pm on Monday.

The investigating officer in the case is Pc Roberts, 2178. Anyone with any information should call Leicestershire Police on 101.
