Possible suspects named in town’s daylight alley robbery

Possible suspects for the daylight robbery of a woman in Market Harborough have been named by members of the public.

The woman, in her early 50s, had her handbag ripped from her shoulder by a cyclist on a narrow alleyway between Bath Street and Naseby Close in the town.

The robbery happened during daylight hours, at 7.30pm on Thursday, May 12.

At least two possible suspects have been named to the police by members of the 
public, the Mail has been told.

Police will be investigating the possible leads over the next few days.

The robber was described as thin, tall and with mousy-coloured hair.

The female victim was not hurt in the robbery, but was left very shaken.

The stolen bag - blue with distinctive diamond stitching - has not been found.

Police say witnesses or anyone with information about the robbery should still come forward.
