Man appears in court over knife-point robbery at store

A MAN has been charged in connection with a robbery at a shop in Harborough.

Carl Latham, (38), of Keswick Road, Leicester, appeared before Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Friday charged with robbery at the Spar store in Coventry Road, Harborough – which happened on Sunday, January 29 – as well as five other counts of robbery elsewhere.

Three of the other incidents relate to robberies at supermarkets in Thurmaston, Ratby and Wigston.

The remaining two incidents occurred in Kent and Cambridge.

The case was adjourned to April 10 for a hearing at Leicester Crown Court.
