Man admits knife-point robbery at Spar shop

A MAN has admitted committing a knife-point robbery at a shop in Harborough.
The robbery took place on January 29 this year at the Spar store at the top of Coventry Road.
Carl Latham (39) admitting robbing staff of cash and also admitted similar offences at a Co-op store in Ratby, Leicestershire, on February 13 and Sainsbury’s in Gloucester Crescent, Wigston, on February 15.
The Leicester Crown Court case was adjourned until February 7, for pre-sentence reports.
Latham, of Keswick Close, Birstall, was remanded back into custody.
Nobody was hurt during the robbery at the Spar in January.
At the time, the shop offered a £5,000 reward for anyone with information which would lead to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
During the robbery staff were threatened with a knife before cash and alcohol were stolen.
