Two burglars were disturbed after a break-in in Lubenham
Two burglars fled a home in Lubenham after being disturbed by the owner.
The break-in happened at about 3.20pm on Saturday, February 2, at a home in Paget Road in the village.
The victim returned home to find two men in the property who had broken in through a back door.
They made off stealing a quantity of cash and jewellery including several watches, a gold ring, a silver bracelet and a silver chain.
One of the men is described being aged between 18 and 20-years-old, of skinny build, around 5ft 9in, with short dark hair and wearing grey clothing.
The other was about the same age, of a skinny build and around 5ft 9in. He had a pale complexion and blue eyes. He was wearing a black jumper, black jogging bottoms and a black beanie hat.
Detective Louisa Letts, the investigating officer, said: “The victim was understandably very shocked to return home and find these men in her home.
“We are particularly keen to trace the occupants of a bright blue panel van seen in the area at the time at the offence which may be connected to this incident.
“It’s important anyone who has any information about this crime, contacts police as soon as they can.”
