Breaking news: Arrest made in murder investigation

Officers have today arrested a 39-year-old man in Corby on suspicion of the murder of former Harborough doorman David ‘Les’ Ross.

Officers from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit also carried out a number of search warrants at addresses in Corby and Harborough, yesterday (Tuesday 19 March).

David ‘Les’ Ross, aged 39, died as a result of an assault and was found on Monday 17 December 2012.

Detective Chief Inspector Martin Kinchin, who is leading the investigation, said: “The searches and the arrest are amongst a number of active lines of enquiry. We are still particularly interested to speak to anybody who was in contact with Les during 2012.

“We know he confided in different people in his life. He will have told them about aspects of his life, his hopes or concerns. We need those people to come forward and contact us so that we can build a true picture of the life of David Ross.”
