Attempted burglaries at business park

A STRING of attempted burglaries have taken place at The Point Business Park in Harborough.

Police officers from Harborough are appealing for witnesses after some units were broken into at the park.

The police are now investigating six incidents where attempts have been made to enter units in Rockingham Road, Harborough between Monday, September 17 and Tuesday, September 18.

Damage was caused to some windows but the units were not entered and nothing was stolen.

Pc Gary Hunt is investigating the incident.

He said: “Even though nothing was stolen during the incidents, the businesses affected have sustained considerable cost and inconvenience as a result of the offences.

“We would urge anyone who saw any suspicions activity in the Rockingham Road area during the evening of Monday, September 17 and early hours of Tuesday, September 18 to contact us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Pc Gary Hunt on 101, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer’s identification number 0316. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, which is free and anonymous, on 0800 555111.
