Appeal to motorists after car break-ins

MOTORISTS are being warned not to keep valuables in their cars after three break-ins in Harborough district in the last week.

Thieves smashed a window of a car parked at Foxton Locks last Thursday, stealing a laptop and a mobile phone.

A sat nav and a iPod were taken from a car parked in Sawbrook, Fleckney overnight between Wednesday and Thursday last week and a stereo was stolen from overnight between Saturday and Sunday from a car in Manor Road, also in Fleckney.

Sgt Nick Everett, of Harborough police, said: “It’s important that people make sure any valuables are out of sight when they’re parking their cars.”

Witnesses to any of these crimes are urged to contact police on the 101 hotline.
