Appeal for witnesses after assault in Harborough pub
POLICE have issued an appeal after a man was injured in a pub attack in Harborough.
The victim suffered an injury to his knee after being kicked at the Kings Head pub in Church Street, police said today (Friday).
Police are appealing for the public’s help in locating a man they believe may be a significant witness.
It happened at about 1am on Saturday, March 31, when the 22-year-old victim was kicked from behind while standing at the bar. He was taken to Kettering General Hospital and discharged after treatment.
PC Sam Whittaker, who is investigating the incident, said: “The victim was kicked in the knee from behind whilst he was standing at the bar and he will need to undergo further treatment.
“We believe an elderly man assisted the victim after the incident and we would urge this person to contact the police as they may be able to assist with our enquiries.
“We would also urge anyone else who witnessed the incident to contact the police. Any calls received will be treated in confidence.”
