An opticians in Harborough is encouraging the local community to spread a little love this Valentine’s Day as part of a fundraiser for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Specsavers, at 22 St Mary’s Place, has teamed up with the BHF to offer customers the chance to purchase their very own love heart for £1, or larger love heart for £2, to write a special message on for a loved one.
The heart will then be displayed in the store’s window as a token of affection on Valentine’s Day - Thursday, February 14.
Customers can also buy British Heart Foundation pin badges in-store in exchange for a £1 donation, with all money raised being donated to the nation’s heart charity that provides quality care and support for everyone living with heart disease.
Barry Henning, store director at Specsavers in Market Harborough, said: “We’ve established a fantastic relationship with our local British Heart Foundation and this event is a great way to raise money for a charity that does so much to help others.
“February is national heart month so we’ve all chosen to wear something red on the 14th to show our support and I would encourage the residents of Market Harborough to come down to the store and share the love for this cause.”
