Club helps young people's stroke charity

A cheque for £500 was presented by the Rotary Club of Market Harborough to Lorraine Ayres, operations manager of the Different Strokes charity.

Rotary President Jim Davies had selected the charity, which provides support and advice for young people who have experienced a stroke, as one of his named charities for his presidential year.

The money was raised by a street collection in Harborough on Christmas Eve, and from a sweepstake on the duration of speeches at the club’s recent 59th anniversary dinner.
