CHILDREN at a Kibworth school created a guide for new children coming to the area through a film project.

Kibworth C of E Primary School was involved in the project where children worked with housebuilder David Wilson Homes.

Pupils at the school were challenged to create a DVD about their favourite things in the village.

The creation of the DVD will mean that the housebuilder can show parents buying homes in Wistow Road built by the developer what children do in the area.

Paul Stone, head teacher at the school, said: “The skills the children have developed are the kind that will help improve their attainment in a number of subjects, and hopefully they will take that with them to high school.

“This type of project doesn’t come around very often and it’s really
boosted their confidence and their communication skills alike.

“It has been a very valuable learning experience and I’d like to thank David Wilson Homes for inviting the school to take part.”

The short film has been distributed to homes in Kibworth and those wanting to see it can go to the sales office at Kibworth Meadows.
