Market Harborough Building Society has announced the appointment of two new managers to its growing mortgage team.
Business development manager Chris Thompson and mortgage processing manager Bernadette Gleaves have recently joined the firm in response to the increased demand for mortgages.
The society’s head of sales and marketing Louise Bunce said: “We are delighted to welcome Bernadette and Chris to the team.
“They bring years of experience and knowledge and will add expertise in an area of growing complexity as we strive to deliver our tailor-made mortgages approach, rather than the one-size-fits-all method adopted by a lot of larger providers.”
Bernadette said: “I’m delighted to have joined a local building society with a traditional approach to looking after its customers, while having a very innovative approach to lending in niche markets.
“We have a great team here and I am looking forward to utilising my experience in the industry further in support of the society’s goals in 2014 and beyond.”
Chris added: “Complex situations require complex solutions and that is really what attracted me to the society.
“I like the local feel at a national level and the interaction between the team and the customer.
“Couple this with a position that offers the scope to influence and help shape current and future lending at the society, I have no doubt that hard work and diligence will result in a great year for the society in 2014.”
The firm was highly commended recently at the national 2014 Mortgage Finance Gazette Awards in the Best Local Building Society category. It has featured in national best buy tables and offers five per cent deposits (95 per cent mortgages) to local first-time buyers.
