Meeting to discuss indoor market plans

Traders are meeting council bosses today (Wednesday) to discuss improvements to the town’s Market Hall.

Last year Harborough Council proposed renting the hall in Northampton Road to retailers and moving the traders to behind the council office, but the plan was scrapped after a public outcry.

The council is meeting traders to discuss plans to improve the hall.

It has committed to spending thousands of pounds of money to make improvements, but traders spoken to by the Mail ahead of the meeting voiced frustration over a lack of progress with the improvements.
