Lutterworth firm gets a lift from sales

A LUTTERWORTH-based company which hires and sells powered access platforms – or cherry pickers as they are sometimes known – has announced a six per cent sales rise in the first half of its financial year.

Lavendon, which is based at Midland Court in Central Park, says about a fifth of the growth came from the sale of new equipment.

The company is Europe’s leading powered access platform hire firm and also has an operation in the Middle East.

The group trades in the UK as Nationwide Platforms.

The firm recently helped out with Lutterworth’s Queen’s Diamond Jubilee events, by putting up bunting and other decorations using its platforms.
