Luke (17) has flair for business Affari
A TEENAGER who set up his first business when he was just 13 is looking to make waves in Harborough by helping other businesses with social media marketing and more.
Luke Farnworth, of The Woodlands, Harborough, has teamed up with new business partner Adam Horton, who lives in Leicester, to form the Affari Group.
The Affari group, which is Italian for business, will offer services in social media marketing, website design, graphic design and events.
Luke (17) was working in a call centre and Adam (17) was working at an estate agents prior to them setting up the business.
Luke said: “It was primarily because I didn’t want to do a nine to five job for the rest of my life, just doing something mundane.
“My new business partner approached me and said why don’t we set up a set of different businesses and just go for it.”
The pair have pooled their skills and are hoping that businesses in and around Harborough will employ them for the various services they can provide.
Luke said: “Adam is a graphic designer and he is brilliant at it.
“His experience in graphic design and website development really means that he can create something fantastic.
“I set up a business called Stage Door Mag website for young performers when I was 13 that taught me a lot about selling advertising space and what we really need to do.”
Already Luke and Adam have organised a vintage fair on August 4 at St Martin’s House in Leicester. As well as vintage traders there will be a pop-up vintage tea room and entry is £1.
Luke said they are keen to support businesses in and around Harborough and are offering fantastic prices.
