Heating firm scheme could create ten jobs

A HEATING supplies firm based near Lutterworth is hoping to create ten new jobs by expanding its operations at Magna Park.

BSS Industrial, a division of building supplies firm Travis Perkins, hopes to build extra capacity at its warehouse in Buccaneer Way.

The firm has applied to Harborough District Council for planning permission.

A little over 100 people are already employed at the site and the firm says that if the planning application, to increase the size of the warehouse by a third, 3,800sq m is approved, the company could increase the number of lorries based at the site from 17 to 25.

This would result in about ten more jobs being created in the Lutterworth area.

Harborough District Council is due to make a decision on the scheme in the next few weeks. It folows two more applications lodged by logistics firm Stobart at Magna Park.
