GENEROUS staff, customers and supporters raised their coffee cups to the British Heart Foundation at an event organised by a Lutterworth estate agent.

A coffee morning organised and hosted by Harrison Murray’s Lutterworth branch raised £130, thanks to the help and support of those who baked a stunning array of cakes – as well as those who bought and enjoyed them.

As well as selling cupcakes, fruit cakes and a Malteser cake, staff also raffled a homemade Victoria Sponge.

The coffee morning was the brainchild of Harrison Murray sales manager Alice Lucas, who has embarked on a personal Olympic-themed challenge to raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation.

As a long-standing supporter of the charity, Alice is part-way through her awareness-raising challenge of running 2,012 miles by December 20 this year. This challenge requires her to run at least 60 miles per week until December.

Alice said: “Huge thanks to everyone who supported the coffee morning – from the staff and their family members who baked such wonderful cakes to the customers who came in and bought them.”
