Harborough firm wins Manchester contracts
A HARBOROUGH IT company has won an important contract to supply services to three Manchester-based academies.
Imerja, based in Bennett’s Place, has signed a three-year deal with the Manchester Health Academy, Manchester Enterprise Academy and The Co-operative Academy of Manchester to reduce IT costs while providing high security and integrity levels.
The firm will provide services such as web filtering, spam protection and antivirus software to safeguard pupils, staff and data from online threats.
Ian Jackson, managing director at Imerja, said: “Security in schools is of paramount importance – whether that’s in terms of the physical buildings or web filters and firewalls.
“But with the current financial pressures, it is often a challenge to balance security with cost for many public institutions.
“Our work with these academies will help them improve and safeguard their IT infrastructure, while crucially saving them money.
“These partnerships will allow them to retain control of day-to-day security management, but backed with our expertise and support.”
