HARBOROUGH’S Farndon Fields Farm Shop has been shortlisted in an annual awards event run by the Countryside Alliance for its commitment to promoting local foods.
The Countryside Alliance Awards, now in their eighth year, celebrate the characters, skills, traditions and enterprise of the countryside through the people who work so hard to make it tick.
A spokesman for the awards said: “Each finalist has received numerous nominations from supportive customers and hopes to go all the way to the Parliamentary final next March.”
The farm shop has been shortlisted in the Local Food category.
Countryside Alliance East of England regional director William Burton said: “These businesses represent the very best of the East of England’s produce.”
