A GREAT Bowden businesswoman who set up a fashion website in 2006 has seen her hard work recognised with an international industry award.

Sarah Curran, CEO and founder of my-wardrobe.com, saw her website awarded Outstanding Customer Experience at the 2011 WGSN Global Fashion Awards at New York’s Gotham Hall earlier this month.

The website beat a shortlist of leading internationally-renown retailers including Harrods, Zappos, Liberty and Macy’s.

Judges commended my-wardrobe for showing immense attention-to-detail to every element of the customer experience, from the site experience, the product, customer service and putting the customer first on every level.

Sarah said: “To be awarded the WGSN Global Fashion Award for Outstanding Customer Experience, against a shortlist of leading retail brands such as Harrods, Liberty and Macy’s, is a phenomenal achievement for the business.

“From the edit of each designer collection, the styling, the browsing experience, to the customer service and fulfilment, our focus has always been providing an exceptional experience.

“Winning this award recognises just that.”

Launched in April 2006, my-wardrobe.com has become one of the UK’s leading e-commerce businesses, offering ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories collections of more than 180 womenswear and menswear designers.
