Ghoulish goings-on for Comic Relief day

An estate agency which is getting into the spirit of things for Comic Relief is appealing for sponsorship and support.
Leading independent estate agent Adams & Jones, of 9 St Mary’s Road, Market Harborough, will be actively supporting the cause this year.
In the week prior to Red Nose Day next Friday, March 15, its senior valuer Matt Gladman will be conducting property valuations dressed as a different television character every day from Monday, March 11, until Red Nose Day.
He will also be in the office every day from 3.30pm until 4.30pm if you would like to take your children in to have a photo taken with him and to offer your support.
And on Red Nose Day itself next Friday the staff will all be getting in the spirit of things when Adams & Jones Estate Agents becomes The Addams Family (pictured, inset) Estate Agents for the day.
Paul Adams, the director of the company, said: “Please come in and, for a small or large donation, join us for a cup of tea or coffee and see us making fools of ourselves.”
Adams & Jones will be doubling the final sponsorship and collection amount received.
It will also donate £100 to the cause for each property where it receives an instruction to sell or to let during the week prior to Red Nose Day.
Mr Adams said: “So bring us your mercurial mansions, palatial pads, respectable residences and houses of horrors, and support a good cause whilst having a bit of a giggle.”
Comic Relief is a major charity based in the UK which strives to create a just world free from poverty – and it works 365 days a year to help that vision become a reality.
Its mission is to drive positive change through the power of entertainment.
Since its was set up in 1985, it has raised millions of pounds through Red Nose Day and Sport Relief, which are held in alternate years.
It spends the money to tackle the root causes of poverty and social injustice.
