Firm thanked for Jubilee efforts

A WARM thank you has been paid by an entire village to a Harborough engineering firm which helped light up their Diamond Jubilee celebrations in style.

And an apprentice at specialist truck equipment manufacturers King Trailers, 19-year-old Harley Miller, played a central part in Lubenham’s five days of festivities.

The village’s Jubilee beacon was generously provided by King Trailers in Market Harborough and Harley, from Kettering, was selected as the apprentice best suited to make the beacon, demonstrating multiple skills he has learnt in fabrication. In recognition of his efforts, he was invited to officially light the beacon in Lubenham.

King Trailers, based on the Riverside business park, is also celebrating its own special jubilee this year, its golden anniversary, having been extablished 50 years ago in 1962.
